Having used steering dampers (WER and SCOTTS) for the past 13 years for both racing and trail riding, I am very impressed with the performance of this unit.  The linear damping force allows a very natural turn in and return to centre feel (ie not heavy at the bars).  The slim design and adjustable positioning of the unit on the bar mount are two unique features of this damper.  The fitting of the tower and bracket to the frame is very easy.  A two piece steering stem clamp plus the bolt on post means no welding, no drilling and no removal of the top triple clamp (ie very clever).  Bottom line – the Motosportz damper looks trick, is easy to fit and it works.

GNCC Season 1999 20th Overall

I have been using the Motosportz steering damper for about 6 months now and I can’t believe how much better the bike handles after fitting the Motosportz damper to my bike. It is amazing how much more stable the bike is and I am able to pick any line on a rutted or washed out down hill with confidence. I would recommend this damper to anyone that is serious about their riding.

Richard Wilson -from the House of Horsepower- (very well respected suspension shop and sponsor of most the top NW riders) and KTM Country in Eugene Oregon recently ran the stabilizer at the infamous 25 hours of Starvation Ridge race and had nothing but rave reviews for it. Richard is one of those guys who is an early adopter of products and likes new and improved. He has run most all of the available dampers and was VERY impressed with the performance of the Motosportz damper. He feels it is the best offering in the stabilizer market. Call Richard at House or Horsepower and ask him about it and his amazing suspension performance tuning. House of Horsepower

Marty Michels - Marty is contesting last years great performance armed with a Motosportz stabilizer. Marty is an up and comer in the GNCC series and has a very good chance of doing well. Motosportz is proud to sponsor Marty and wish him the best for the 07 season.

From happy customers...

"just some feedback for you in regards the steering damper...

Gotta say I'm VERY impressed...did about 150/60 k's today, and found the damper was a great investment...virtually no arm fatigue...and we did some really narly trax, with soft (deep)sand/pea gravel sections, steep drop off's and climbs...I flew over them all, and I really mean flew!

I'm planning on upgrading the bike to a 525 in december (I'm 1 of those guys who always rode offroad and only decided to get a licence because I want to do the Aus Safari in August) and the damper is coming off the bike for the trade in, or if it stays on I'll be buying another from you then!

If you have any stickers for your products, or jacket patches, send 'em over and you'll get free advertising on the Safari...I'd be more than happy to wear your logo any day.

And btw, by all means quote this letter for advertising purposes. Thanx again for a really fantastic steering damper.

Regards, Guy Thompson, aka vampyrecat."

4-16-07 DEZ100 event

We were a vendor at the DEZ100 race in Odessa Washington this last weekend and the response to product was outstanding. We sold out of dampers on the 2 day of a 4 day event and have a large list of new customers. We also got some great instant feedback from our customers as they rode they next day and came by the booth to rave about how well the damper worked out for them...

Random comments at the booth after a day of using the damper in the rocky desert...

- "Best money i ever spent on my bike, THANKS!!! I have more friends who will be calling you shortly for one"

- "My buddy and me LOVE our dampers, nice product man, thanks!"

- "WOW, unbelievable how much more stable it makes my bike, it's a whole new ride"

- One excitable fast kid who's mom had to talk him into the purchase came by the booth many times (we also helped him out with suspension settings)... "I'm floored how much better my KTM 525 works! I had no idea how much difference a stabilizer could make. Thanks a bunch!"

_____

OK, this is the first time I used a stabilzer so I had nothing to compare against. I rode the Iron man poker run in Odessa yesterday. At first I was like...."did I install it wrong?" cause I expecting a big noticable difference based on other reviews . Until I switched to my brothers CR250. Oh my god....its so subtle yet works AWESOME. I didn't realize how much of the jagged rocks I was missing out on until I switched to my brothers bike for a little while. Those nasty jagged rocks in Odessa get simply eaten up by the stabizer. I can say it saved my butt from going down at least 3 times. I probably should have rode some simple trail that wasn't so jagged and brutal and probably would have noticed more right of the bat. I also held of on buying a stabilizer for a while because I was told it slowed down steer too much. I didn't feel that at all on this one. This Motozportz stabilzer is coming with me too the next bike too. I will never be without one again.
